Macosquin Primary School is situated close to the North
Coast of Ireland, three miles west of Coleraine.
Our school population has grown significantly in recent
years. We have 190 pupils ranging in age from 4 to 11 years
olds. They are taught in 8 Year Groups.
We have a teaching staff of Principal and eight teachers
with six Teaching Assistants as well as ancillary and
administrative staff.
Our school is open from 8 am until 6 pm each day, including
school holidays. There is a Breakfast Club before school and
a Ten5 Club from 2 pm till 6 pm. The Club has a wide range
of exciting activities to offer.
We have lots of extra curricular activities including choir,
orchestra, rugby, badminton, football, hockey and horse
riding. We also have Science Challenge, Good News Club and
Spanish. French is taught throughout the school.
The school and pupils are also offered tuition in
verse-speaking, flute, clarinet, violin, cello, percussion,
piano and singing.
This year pupils from Years 4 to 7 are producing the Sound
of Music as a school musical.
