Happy New Year to all my brothers and sisters, teachers and students!
We just came back from our Christmas holidays on Monday 11th.
I had a very good time at Christmas, we had a lot of snow last weekend and
it was the best way to finish my holidays playing in the snow.
It is raining a lot today and the snow has already disappeared, now we will
be looking at the rivers...
Olentzero brought us a present to Amaiur Ikastola, from January to May, the
English teachers will have a helper, a teacher from Nottingham. We were so
lucky!

I was supposed to be going to Poland this week to meet up with schools from
other countries. I was stranded at Liverpool John Lennon Airport for 24
hours with hundreds of other people. Most of them were trying to get back
home to Poland. I felt very sorry for all the mums and dads that had little
children with them. We all tried to help each other and keep our spirits up.
In the end all the fights to everywhere were cancelled. I think they said
that the pilots and cabin crew could not get to the airport, airplanes were
stuck in other airports and there was no more de-icer left to use on the
wings of planes so they could take off.
Never mind! There are lots more worse things that can happen to a Little
Bear!

Happy New Year to you all!
We are having lots of snow here at the moment. It is great fun but it is
causing lots of problems. The roads and pavements are very icy and lots of
buses and trains and planes have been cancelled.
My school had to shut last Tuesday and Wednesday because the playground and
all the roads around the school were blocked!
It is the worst winter weather in England for a very long time.
What is it like in your countries?

Hello to all the children at Amaiur Ikastola! Perhaps I am too late and I
have missed you! You have started your summer holidays! Here at Beaver Road
we have two weeks left until we finish school on 17 July. Just like you we
have lots of celebrations - parties, concerts and stuff like that. Our Year
6 children who are 11 years old will be leaving to go to their High Schools
- I will be so sad to see many of my best friends leave Beaver Road.
It sounds as if you are all having a great time in Pamplona. Have a great

Good bye Comenius!
We are very happy with the project because we studied English enjoying. We
are going to say good bye and we hope that you learned something about us,
because we learned something about you.
For us it is the first and the last year with the project and we had a lot
of fun.
Comenius project was very interesting but, today we say good bye to you
because we go to the high school.
The Comenius project is great but, we are not going to learn with it any
more. We liked going to the computer room and communicating with other
countries, we also liked preparing the performance for the teachers.
We will miss you a lot but are going to continue doing our life.

Hello Everyone!
It's the Didsbury Festival today. Our School is going to dress up as 'Under
the sea'. I think some of us are going to dress as fishes and mermaids and
things like that.
But it is raining very hard at the moment! We will be marching through
Didsbury with bands and dancers - should be good fun in spite of the rain.
A good question from Sean - how old am I? Bears like me don't count the
years so I have no idea!!
Thanks to all the children like Evie, Tom, Loulou, Zara, Ciara, Sean, Mia,
Taneeka, Ghadia, Gemma, Dylan, Liam, Megan, May and Ellen (just to mention a
few!) who look after me so well at Beaver Road. I love Beaver Road Primary

I had a great time in Pamplona. I really enjoyed the performance at your
school, especially all the bits about me and the other bears!
I love my T shirt your school gave me so much that I haven't taken it off!
But this week Mr How said it was looking dirty and was a little bit smelly!
Amy from Year 6 who is one of my special friends in school, said she would
take the T shirt home and wash it in her washing machine.
Now it is bright and shiny white again!

I am getting really excited about all of you bears and teachers coming to
England in a few weeks time!
I have just been to France for the weekend with the Year 6s (10 and 11 year
olds).
We went to a place called Hardelot in the Pays de Calais in northern France
- I think it's a long way from Marseille Marius!
I learned to speak some French before I went and used it to buy some sweets
and some clothes in the market on Sunday!
The French people were so friendly to me and the children.

We are preparing the carnaval costumes.
There is a lot of work to think about the dancing. In year 6 we are dressing

Lucky you Amaia! Where I live in Manchester the snow only lasted about three
hours! By the time we all went out in to the playground on Monday morning it
had all vanished. The rest of England has had the most snow for years but
not here in Manchester.
What a shame! Happy sledging Amaia! Will there be any snow left when I visit
you next month?

The children in Reception at my school have this week visited the Bear
Factory to create our own bears to take back to school with us. We now have
Honey and Harry who are enjoying making friends with everyone at Harold Wood
Primary School. They both have smart new uniforms to wear and are enjoying
taking part in all the different activities we are doing. We love having
these new friends with us in school.

Hello everybody!
I am going to Manchester today because it is Chinese New Year. There are
lots of people from Chinese families who live in Manchester. There will be a
HUGE dragon dancing through the streets. There will be lots of fireworks too
- BANG! CRACKLE! BOOM!
Our school football team is going to Manchester United this week to meet
some of the players. It is to support Kick Racism out of Football. There are
lots of black players in our football teams in England and we don't want any
silly people shouting names at them and being nasty to them.
I support Arsenal. Thierry Henry is my favourite player of all time!

It's good to be back in school again though. I love Beaver Road especially
all the boys and girls like Jamal, Rosie, Ella, Matteo, Daisy Boo, James,

I loved seeing all those pictures about you and the children from the
Europaschule. I thought the children were so warm and friendly when I came
to visit you in November. You are a lucky bear! When you told me about the
Christmas Market I started to feel really hungry. I could just eat one of
those bratwursts right now!
We are having lots of Christmas parties here at Beaver Road Primary School.
We play all kinds of games like Musical Statues, Pass the Parcel, and

Hello everyone!
I am very excited! After being in Germany, took me a while to introduce
myself to the students at Amaiur because I am a little bit shy. However,
after doing the presentation, I felt really happy.
All the kids at Amaiur are very nice and kind and they really want to

Hello Beaver Road Computer Club!
I am so happy that you want to find out more about me.
I like playing football very much. I am not good enough to get in the
football team at the moment. I need to practice more. i think I would like
to play in goal.
I have tried to get the ball in those basketball nets but they are a bit
high for a little bear like me. Are you allowed to climb up the pole and
drop the ball in?
And cricket? Someone said it is a game you only play in the Summer. Is that
true? I think I need you to teach me the rules of cricket before I start to
play!
Barbies? Is that a barbecue with lovely things that I like to eat. Yum Yum!
And Hotwheels? Sounds brilliant. Can somebody play Hotwheels with me please.

I hope you are all enjoying yourselves.
I had a very nice set of photos from Amaia the other day. Its always lovely
to hear from my sisters and brothers.
It is very cold here this weekend. I expect Knut will be happy though - he
loves the cold weather!
I would love to be eating one of those tasty German sausages right now -
that would warm me up!
I have heard that I am going off to visit Pamplona in March. I think
Pamplona is in the north of Spain, but I am not very good at Geography yet.
I will have to look at a map and find out how I am going to get there. Have
you any ideas?
I will have to practice my Spanish as well (and my German and my French!).

Thanks to you Bob for setting up our website. You've done a brilliant job.
A big welcome to all our friends in Falkansee, Marseille, Pamplona and
Macosquin.
The Christmas European market has just opened this week in the centre of
Manchester and the Christmas street lights have been switched on.
At School we have just held an International Week - every class in the
school nominated a country to represent.
I will post up some photos and descriptions for you.
Bravo has been out and about in school with the children and has become a
very popular member of our school community.
Last week he even appeared on local television!.
